New Devine Farm Market is a Success

Trying a new farmer's market can by risky. You don't now if anyone is going to show up, but I knew from the start that the new Devine Farm Market was going to be great, and it was! The Devine Family is well known in this area. They are very involved with the community and love sharing their farm knowledge. The scenery for the market is also grogeous. Shopping at a picturesqe farm is a much more enjoyable experience than a parking lot.

We are looking forward to many more vendors joining us. What vendors do you think we need, if you came?  I am talking with a flower vendor, I know I would love to see fresh cut flowers there! 

We were already low on inventory Saturday and we are now nearly sold out of everything!  But, good news, we will be fully restocked very soon. Except for bacon.  I know, everyone is axiously waiting on bacon and we always sell out way too fast.  It is coming! I promise!  Our bacon is naturally cured and smoked, not chemically.  Did you know the whole purpose for those nasty nitrates and nitrites is to cure it in hours instead of days.  It's crazy!  Stay away from those chemically cured bacons! Ours is naturally cured with celery salt and then smoked.  Bacon made the old fashioned way.  

Other good news, our eggs are now Non-GMO.  We made the switch to Non-GMO feed from our local feed mill.  The girls slowed down laying a bit while they got used to the new feed, but they are back to normal production and we are excited to share our eggs with you. They are beautiful eggs too, since we have a variety of chicken breeds.  They all taste the same, just different colors. 

So, keep an eye our for our email letting everyone know we are restocked! Order ahead of time and pick up your order at the market or from the farm to guarentee the cuts you want.  We sell out of ribs super fast and pork chops after that.  

Also, remember we deliver every Friday in the downtown Newton area, for FREE!  Yep, for free.  I really enjoy my delivery route and I have room for a few more, so contact me soon before it fills up, and get on the list so I can deliver your order straight to your door for free.
